New York Mets beat reporter Anthony DiComo said the team is most likely to hold its roster steady through the July trade deadline.
DiComo noted that without significant returns in deals, the Mets see little point in moving players. He added that the club might pursue a last-ditch playoff push and could extend a qualifying offer to Freddy Peralta.
The reporter said it is unlikely the Mets will trade players under contract for 2027, including Luke Weaver and Devin Williams. He indicated that Brooks Raley could be moved if an offer proves attractive, though any decision remains uncertain.
DiComo also addressed injuries, stating that Mike Tauchman’s rehab has progressed slowly. He does not expect Tauchman to return this season.
