Mineros S.A. reaches over 60,000 equivalent gold ounces in first quarter

Mineros S.A. reported 60,782 equivalent gold ounces produced in Q1 2026, a 10% year-over-year increase. The growth was driven by improvements at its Hemco operation in Nicaragua. The company expects to hit the high end of its annual guidance.

Mineros S.A. recorded 60,782 equivalent gold ounces in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 10% increase from the same period in 2025. The performance was mainly driven by gains at the Hemco operation in Nicaragua, where gold output rose 22% year-over-year due to better metallurgical recovery and plant expansion.

Total gold production hit 57,850 ounces, up 7%, while silver output reached 161,766 ounces, more than double the prior year with a 109% surge. “Silver production at Hemco more than doubled from the previous year, while gold output grew 22% thanks to disciplined plant optimization,” said Daniel Henao, the company's president.

In Colombia, the Nechí mine produced 19,909 ounces, slightly below average but in line with the mining plan, with a return to normal levels expected in Q3. Mineros boosted Hemco's processing capacity to nearly 2,100 tons per day and targets 2,500 tons daily.

These results position the company toward the upper end of its annual guidance of 213,000 to 233,000 equivalent gold ounces.
