Nequi launches incentives of up to $5 million for remittances

Nequi announced a campaign offering prizes of up to $5 million to those who receive remittances in May. The initiative, called “Dale un Giro a tu Día,” aims to encourage use of the “Giros a un Link” service through May 24.

The digital payments platform said the prizes range from $500,000 to $5 million and will be credited directly to the winners’ available balance. Participants accumulate points for each remittance received through partners or the international transfer service.

Nequi noted that remittances to Colombia reached a record US$13.098 million last year, up 10.5% from 2024. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, more than 1.2 million users used the service in the app.

“Behind every transfer there is a story and a strong desire to care for those we love most,” the company said in explaining the campaign’s purpose. First-time recipients start with an initial score and add points for transfers of $580,000 or more.
