The South Jakarta District Court sentenced Nikita Mirzani to four years in prison and a Rp1 billion fine in an alleged extortion case involving threats against a skincare business owner. The verdict is lighter than the prosecutors' demand of 11 years. Nikita expressed objections and plans to pursue further legal appeals.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12:40 WIB, the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court read out the verdict against Nikita Mirzani in the extortion case involving threats of defamation via electronic media, as well as money laundering (TPPU).
Judge Khairul Saleh stated, "Impose a prison sentence of four years and a fine of Rp1 billion." If the fine is not paid, Nikita will face an additional three months in prison. The money laundering charge was deemed unproven.
The case stemmed from allegations that Nikita threatened Dr. Reza Gladys, owner of a skincare product not registered with the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), to pay Rp4 billion as hush money. The funds were allegedly used by Nikita to pay off the remaining house ownership credit (KPR). The act involved her assistant, Ismail Marzuki or Mail Syahputra.
Prosecutors (JPU) had previously demanded 11 years in prison and a Rp2 billion fine, subsidiary to six months imprisonment. Head of Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said the JPU respects the lighter verdict and is considering an appeal within seven days. "We in principle respect the decision set by the South Jakarta District Court panel," he said.
After the hearing, Nikita Mirzani expressed objections. "Of course I'm objecting. No one was forced, no secrets were revealed," she said, adding that the skincare product was indeed declared dangerous by BPOM. Her lawyer, Usman Lawara, stated they would discuss the best legal steps, including appeals, cassation, and review (PK). Nikita expressed gratitude for the judge's decision and believes the process is not over.
