Norway has named a squad packed with SHL talent ahead of the ice hockey world championship in Switzerland. The team will face Sweden in group play on May 23 in Fribourg.
Sports director Patrick Thoresen selected nine Norwegian SHL players for the tournament. Frölunda goalkeeper Tobias Normann returns after appearing at last year's event in Stockholm. Defenseman Stian Solberg joins from the San Diego Gulls in the AHL after recording 24 points in 71 games this season.
