Chilean company NotCo sold its operations in Argentina and Uruguay to Argentine firm Molinos Río de la Plata. The deal will be implemented in the coming weeks and the amount was not disclosed.
NotCo, a pioneer in plant-based foods, started operations in Argentina and Uruguay in 2021. The sale represents validation of the company's model, according to founder Matías Muchnick. “The agreement in Argentina with Molinos Río de la Plata represents a huge validation of the path NotCo has been building since its beginning. It is the consolidation of a success story,” Muchnick said. Molinos Río de la Plata CEO Agustín Llanos stated that the acquisition will strengthen the company's innovation capacity. Molinos, with over 120 years of history and owned by the Pérez Companc family, has brands such as Matarazzo and Lucchetti.
