Official inscriptions conclude candidate registrations for Reinado Popular del Bambuco 2026

Following the opening of inscriptions on March 23, Neiva's Parque de la Música hosted the official registrations for candidates to the Reinado Popular del Bambuco 2026, part of the 65th Festival del Bambuco in San Juan and San Pedro. Neighborhoods, communes, and districts rallied with music, papayeras, and enthusiasm to support their representatives.

Neiva's Parque de la Música served as the center for the official inscriptions to the Reinado Popular del Bambuco 2026, building on the initial sign-ups earlier in the month that saw six candidates register for the Popular Queen contest.

Communities from across the city arrived with vibrant entourages, filling the air with traditional bambuco music, papayeras, and celebration, highlighting the deep cultural significance of the event.

The confirmed candidates include:
- Dana Fernanda Aya Palencia from barrio Las Mercedes, comuna Uno;
- Ángela María Penagos from barrio Los Andes, comuna Dos;
- Paula Valentina Victoria Urrea from barrio Quirinal, comuna Tres;
- Ana Mildred Vidarte Amorocho from barrio Las Acacias, comuna Ocho;
- María Paula Franco Puentes from barrio San Isidro, corregimiento El Caguán.
