Neiva celebrates its 414 years of foundation

The capital of Huila marks its anniversary today with a series of civic and cultural activities organized by the mayor's office.

The mayor's office of Neiva, led by Mayor German Casagua Bonilla, scheduled a day of activities to mark the city's 414 years of foundation.

The established dress code is formal white. Activities include a eucharist at 8:00 in the morning at the colonial church in the center, followed by a civic and folkloric parade that begins at the José Eustasio Rivera Convention Center.

The parade travels several streets until reaching Parque Santander, where at 9:00 in the morning a floral offering will be made to the bust of Diego de Ospina y Medinilla, founder of Neiva in 1612.
