Olivia Wilde has denied rumors of a screaming match with Florence Pugh during the filming of Don't Worry Darling. In a new interview, she addressed the 2022 speculation and explained why she stayed silent at the time.
Olivia Wilde told The Cut that no screaming match occurred on the set of Don't Worry Darling. She also rejected claims that she was unavailable during production of the 2022 film.
Wilde said studio executives instructed her to remain quiet. She recalled being told, "Don’t say a fucking word. Just go out there and smile." Wilde added that she now resents following that advice.
A group of 40 crew members previously issued a statement supporting Wilde. They denied any unprofessional behavior and described her as an effective leader present throughout the production.
Wilde has previously discussed her frustration on the Call Her Daddy podcast. She noted feeling disconnected from the public narrative around the film.
