With just one week left until the March 31 deadline for individual electronic tax returns for the 2025 tax year, Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) head Rasha Abdel Aal urged taxpayers to submit promptly and utilize expanded free technical support amid the ongoing filing season that began January 1.
As the 2025 tax filing season—launched on January 1 with electronic submissions for individuals (until March 31) and companies (until April 30)—nears its close for individuals, ETA head Rasha Abdel Aal reminded taxpayers of the approaching deadline and the array of support services available.
Building on the initial rollout, the ETA continues daily free awareness seminars by professional trainers, announced on its website and social media, to guide electronic filing and resolve issues. Permanent tax support committees operate across civil society, chambers of commerce, federations, and syndicates including doctors, dentists, veterinarians, engineers, pharmacists, and film/acting professionals. Technical teams are at all tax offices, with full services via the integrated call center (hotline 16395) and Treasury support center in Lazoghly, including issue resolution, SMS/email reminders, and awareness materials.
Abdel Aal highlighted the Ministry of Finance and ETA's commitment to voluntary compliance through simplified procedures and multiple channels like YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
