Örebro Innebandy defeated Åkersberga IBF 6–3 (1–0, 2–1, 3–2) in the third and decisive match at home in playoff 3 to the men's allsvenskan in floorball. This gives the team a 2–1 series win and promotion back to the elite division.
Joakim Andersson became the hero by scoring two empty-net goals. "I haven't really grasped it yet. This is the best feeling you can have. It can't be described", he says.
The club was relegated from SSL in 2019 and allsvenskan in 2022, starting a four-year stint in lower divisions. This marks the end of three consecutive lost qualifications – after three prior failures, they finally made the step up.
