ÖSK faced heavy pressure from Varberg at Påskbergsvallen. The home team took 18 shots, six on target according to Swedish football statistics, but failed to score. A cross was cleared off the line by Hampus Söderström, who said afterwards: ”The only thing I thought about was not to shoot the ball into my own goal.” Goalkeeper Jakub ”Kuba” Ojrzyński made several saves.
After the goalless match, coach Rikard Norling praised Ojrzyński: ”It is one of the better goalkeepers I have coached.” ÖSK remains unbeaten five matches into the season and moved into first place.
Meanwhile, ÖSK announced Erman Hrastovinas contract extension on social media. Sporting director Enes Ahmetovic described it as part of the club's strategy, after the 19-year-old displaced club icon Kalle Holmberg. Ojrzyński may soon leave the club.
