Overwatch Season 3 Adds Motorcycle Hero Shion

Overwatch Season 3 launched yesterday with the arrival of new damage hero Shion, who rides a motorcycle into battle. The character features two pistols and a focus on stylish moves. Blizzard also released a new hybrid map and Battle Pass content.

Shion joins the roster as the game's 52nd hero. She emphasizes mobility and combos, setting her apart from existing damage characters like Tracer.

Hero producer Kenny Hudson discussed earlier development plans in an interview. The team originally included a Style Meter that ranked player performance from D or E up to S based on linked abilities.

Designers considered giving Shion super speed or double the run speed of other heroes. They ultimately decided the motorcycle alone would provide enough challenge for players.

Season 3 also brings the hybrid map Neon Junction, the Anima Strike meta event, and a Battle Pass featuring new Ultra Skins with added visual effects. The game is now available in a native version on Switch 2.
