On December 5, 2025, in Seoul, comedian Park Na-rae, who debuted in 2006, faced workplace harassment allegations from her former managers. The claims include verbal abuse, physical assault, and demands for tasks unrelated to her official schedule. Following the allegations raised the previous day (December 4), MBC canceled filming for the upcoming travel reality show 'Nado Sinna,' meaning 'I Am Excited Too.' The exact reason for the cancellation is unknown, but speculation links it to the claims.
Park's agency, Npark, stated that the former managers, after working for about 15 months and receiving severance, demanded an additional payment equivalent to 10 percent of the company's previous year's revenue, escalating to hundreds of millions of won. "Park Na-rae is suffering great emotional burden and psychological shock due to the sudden resignations of employees who had worked with her, baseless claims, increasing demands for money and pressure from the press," the agency said, vowing to take legal action after review. It did not outright reject all allegations and is investigating the claims.
Earlier that Friday, police launched an investigation into Park following a complaint for special bodily injury and violation of the law on popular culture and arts industry development. A household name, she won the Grand Prize at the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards and Best Female Variety Performer at the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards. She regularly appears on MBC's 'I Live Alone' and 'Where is My Home,' as well as tvN's 'Amazing Saturday.' The 'I Live Alone' episode aired as scheduled that day, and tvN confirmed no changes to 'Amazing Saturday' the next day. On Thursday, Park said she was 'in discussions' with a law firm.
The incident has spotlighted employee treatment in Korea's entertainment industry, sparking debates among the MZ generation. The agency acknowledged shortcomings in management but stated, 'We can no longer comply with unilateral demands based on claims that do not reflect the truth.'
