Patsy Kensit has described a wordless hairbrush encounter with David Bowie as the most erotic moment of her life. The 58-year-old actress shared the story from the 1986 film Absolute Beginners.
Kensit was just 16 when she landed the role of Crepe Suzette opposite Bowie, who played Vendice Partners. She recalled sitting in the makeup chair at Shepperton Studios when the late rocker picked up a brush and ran it through her long hair in silence.
“It was the most erotic moment of my life to date, but not at all weird; it was beautiful,” she told the Daily Telegraph. The star, who had been obsessed with Bowie since age 13, had secretly hoped he would fall in love with her.
Bowie died in 2016 at 69. Kensit also noted tension with director Julien Temple, saying their rapport might have differed if she had been older during filming.
