Persib Bandung has responded to the decision to relocate their match against Persija Jakarta to Stadion Segiri in Samarinda. The Super League 2025/2026 week-32 fixture was originally set for Jakarta but moved for security reasons. The match will take place on 10 May 2026 at 15.30 WIB.
The decision followed the release of Circular #55 by competition operator I.League on 6 May 2026. PT Liga Indonesia Baru CEO Ferry Paulus explained that Jakarta’s packed schedule, including May Day events, raised security concerns. He added that nearly all venues on Java island already had fixtures, leaving Stadion Segiri empty and suitable.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed disappointment but accepted the move. He said the security rationale was reasonable to keep the capital calm and orderly. Pramono deferred further details to police and the league operator.
Persib management confirmed it played no role in the change. Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat Adhitia Putra Herawan said the club respects the I.League ruling and is ready to play anywhere to ensure the competition continues.
