Pinas handang makipagtulungan sa Interpol sa mga warrant ng ICC

Ronald dela Rosa, at anim pang dating opisyal bilang co-perpetrators sa drug war na nag-iwan ng mahigit 6,000 patay. Kasama rito sina dating justice secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, yaoing dating PNP chief Camilo Cascolan, dating PNP chief Oscar Albayalde, dating NBI chief Dante Gierran, dating PDEA chief Isidro Lapeña, at dating Davao City police chief Vicente Danao. Ayon sa prosecution, nagkaroon ng common plan upang neutralisahin ang mga akusadong kriminal sa pamamagitan ng karahasan.

Ratipikado ng Pilipinas ang Rome Statute noong 2011 ngunit umalis noong 2018 pagkatapos magplano ang ICC na imbestigahan ang drug crackdown. Walang talakayan pa tungkol sa pagbabalik, ayon kay Castro, bagamat noong Hunyo ay nagsabi si Pangulong Marcos na bukas siya sa usapan.

Sinabi rin ni Castro na hindi dapat magtago ang mga akusado kung wala silang kasalanan: “They should face with courage the process.” May dalawang opinyon tungkol sa pagtutulog: isa mula sa DOJ at isa mula kay dating executive secretary Lucas Bersamin na nagsabing kailangan ng court order bago mag-extradite, tulad ng sinabi rin ni Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson.

Ipinagtanggol ni Sen. Bong Go ang drug war, na sinabing hindi nagbigay ng illegal orders si Duterte. Ipinahayag naman ni Aguirre na hindi siya sumang-ayon sa extrajudicial killings at hahamonan niya ang anumang arrest warrant.
