Pitalito police captured two known criminals, aliases ‘Pillimue’ and ‘Fener’, while riding a stolen motorcycle. The detainees have records for conspiracy to commit crimes, simple kidnapping, and weapons possession. The operation prevented potential offenses against citizens.

During patrol duties in Pitalito's central area, officers spotted two men acting suspiciously on a motorcycle. The stop revealed the vehicle had a recent theft report from Valle de Laboyos. The captured individuals, aliases ‘Pillimue’ and ‘Fener’, were handed over for receiving stolen goods.

Major Héctor Silva, commander of the Pitalito Police Station, confirmed the detainees have multiple records in the Sistema Penal Oral Acusatorio (SPOA). Offenses include conspiracy to commit crimes, qualified theft, manufacturing, trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, simple kidnapping, and prison escape.

“They are recognized criminal actors… their capture neutralized a possible criminal act and prevented harm to life,” Major Silva stated. The timely intervention safeguarded residents' safety and property.
