Three days after Replaced's launch, Sad Cat Studios hailed the cyberpunk platformer as a 'strong debut success,' thanking its Discord community while addressing technical issues like camera glitches and promising patches.
Sad Cat Studios shared its post-launch gratitude on the official Replaced Discord server. 'On behalf of everyone at Sad Cat Studios I want to thank each and every one of you for playing the game! Replaced has become a strong debut success for us and it wouldn’t have been such without a dedicated community like the one we have right here. You are the real GOATs,' the studio wrote.
The team acknowledged launch issues, including camera glitches requiring restarts, overlapping character animations, and incorrect interaction sequences disrupting cutscenes. Sad Cat Studios outlined a quality-of-life patch roadmap and teased additional features in future updates.
This follows the game's release on April 14 after years of anticipation and delays, including the recent postponement from March 12 based on Steam demo feedback, as previously reported. Early player reception has been generally positive.
