La France Insoumise deputy Sébastien Delogu, a candidate for mayor of Marseille, will appear in court on June 9 for disseminating stolen private documents of a business leader on his social media. The case stems from a theft in September 2024 during a labor dispute at a cleaning company. The investigation led to searches of his home and office in May.
Sébastien Delogu, an LFI deputy and mayoral candidate in Marseille, is facing legal proceedings over events from late 2024. He faces charges of receiving stolen goods, disclosing personal information that poses a risk of harm, and breaching the secrecy of correspondence. The Marseille correctional court has scheduled his hearing for June 9.
The case involves the theft of a folder containing private documents belonging to Isidore Aragones, who briefly chaired the board of Laser Propreté from September 12 to early October 2024. The theft occurred amid a labor dispute over cleaning services at Marseille's metro and Saint-Charles station, where Delogu supported the workers. Aragones, a retired lawyer and former head of Marseille's CRIF, discovered the theft after his office was stormed by a CGT union delegation of about 100 people on September 19, 2024.
Five days later, on September 24, Delogu posted portions of the stolen documents on his Instagram account, which has 95,000 followers. The posts highlighted Aragones' ties to the State of Israel, trips to Brazil and Israel, and personal financial plans, such as renovations to a secondary residence, including attached invoices. The deputy noted that benevolent individuals had provided him with the materials.
Isidore Aragones voiced his concerns: “In the context [of the Middle East conflict], he exposed my life and put me in real danger, grave danger.” In May 2025, Delogu was questioned by investigators, and his home and office were searched. Reached by AFP, he was not immediately available to comment.
