Hinihikayat ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian ang pamahalaan na mag-mobilize ng inter-agency response upang protektahan ang mga trabaho at magbigay ng financial lifelines sa mga micro, small, at medium enterprises na naapektuhan ng economic fallout mula sa Middle East conflict. Binabalaan niya na ang kasalukuyang fuel crisis ay magdudulot ng malalang epekto sa labor market.

Sa Manila, hinikayat ni Senador Sherwin Gatchalian ang agarang pag-deploy ng inter-agency response upang i-shield ang mga trabaho at MSMEs mula sa epekto ng Middle East conflict, partikular na ang fuel crisis.
"Higher fuel costs could trigger more layoffs and hiring freezes, especially in sectors that rely heavily on transport, power and delivery," ani Gatchalian.
Binigyang-diin niya ang rollout ng short-term economic shields mula sa Proactive Response and Oversight for Timely and Effective Crisis Strategy ad hoc committee.

Upang iwasan ang business closures at job losses, iminungkahi niya ang concessional credit at temporary operating support para sa MSMEs na sensitibo sa fuel price spikes.
Binanggit niya ang P2.27 billion na idle funds sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), kabilang ang P1.965 billion na unobligated allotments sa 2026 General Appropriations Act at P309.9 million mula sa 2025 budget, na maaaring gamitin nang hindi nang bagong batas.

Hinikayat din niya ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) na magbigay ng emergency reskilling at upskilling programs para sa mga displaced workers, upang suplementuhan ang efforts ng DTI.
