Study: Mombasa leads in muguka consumption

A new study shows Mombasa leads in muguka use despite a county government ban issued two years ago.

The study was released during the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Dr Anthony Omerikwa and Dr Raymond Omollo, Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Security, took part in the event alongside the Director General of NACADA.

Mombasa County Government banned the sale and use of muguka two years ago. The new research indicates the area still has the highest levels of consumption of the substance.
