Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in a push to resolve the deadlock over Legislative Council nominations under the Governor’s quota.
He urged expeditious approval for Prof M. Kodandaram and Mohammad Azharuddin, whose names were cleared by the state cabinet earlier but have remained pending since the tenure of previous Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, now transferred to Maharashtra.
The move comes amid approaching deadlines for the nominations. No response from the Raj Bhavan has been reported yet.
