Telanganas Regierungschef trifft Gouverneur wegen ausstehender MLC-Nominierungen

Der Chief Minister von Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, traf sich am 19. April im Lok Bhavan mit Gouverneur Shiv Pratap Shukla und drängte auf eine rasche Genehmigung der Nominierungen von Prof. M. Kodandaram und Mohammad Azharuddin als MLCs im Rahmen der Gouverneursquote. Die Namen wurden zuvor vom Landeskabinett gebilligt.

Der Chief Minister von Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, traf sich am Sonntag, dem 19. April 2026, im Lok Bhavan mit Gouverneur Shiv Pratap Shukla, um den Stillstand bei den Nominierungen für den Legislativrat im Rahmen der Gouverneursquote zu beenden.

Er drängte auf eine zügige Genehmigung für Prof. M. Kodandaram und Mohammad Azharuddin, deren Namen bereits zuvor vom Landeskabinett freigegeben worden waren, aber seit der Amtszeit des früheren Gouverneurs Jishnu Dev Varma, der inzwischen nach Maharashtra versetzt wurde, ausstehen.

Der Vorstoß erfolgt angesichts nahender Fristen für die Nominierungen. Bisher wurde keine Reaktion aus dem Raj Bhavan gemeldet.
