Tesla starts deliveries of $59,000 entry-level Cybertruck

Tesla has begun delivering its $59,000 entry-level Cybertruck to early buyers in the United States. One of the first owners shared positive initial impressions after taking delivery on Wednesday.

Shea Duncan, who ordered the vehicle on February 20, received his truck and highlighted the cloth seats and improved ride quality compared to his previous Ford F-150. 'Just took delivery of the 59k @Cybertruck!' Duncan posted. 'Nice to have cloth seats again and they look great.' The entry-level model features several cost-saving changes from higher trims. It uses a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, fixed coil suspension, a seven-speaker audio system and cloth seats instead of synthetic leather. Payload capacity is listed at 2,006 pounds. Originally, Tesla had promised a sub-$40,000 single-motor Cybertruck variant. The $59,000 rear-wheel-drive version represents the company's closest step yet toward that goal after higher-priced models were prioritized in earlier years.
