TREASURE’s Junkyu to temporarily halt activities due to health

YG Entertainment announced on June 29 that TREASURE member Junkyu will take a temporary break to focus on his health after completing promotions for the group’s latest mini album. The decision follows discussions with the artist himself. Junkyu also shared a personal letter with fans on Weverse.

According to a source close to the agency, Junkyu had continued participating in activities despite feeling unwell after TREASURE wrapped up official broadcast promotions for “NEW WAV.” The agency stated he will miss upcoming schedules including the P/V shoot for the B-side track “DANGER,” which is scheduled to take place soon.

In his handwritten letter posted on Weverse, Junkyu explained that after six years since debuting in 2020 he realized it was time to rest and recover. He apologized for the sudden news and expressed hope to return as a healthier version of himself.

YG Entertainment confirmed the members and company will support Junkyu during his break and asked for fans’ understanding and encouragement.
