President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the dignified transfer of the remains of two U.S. Army soldiers killed in an Iranian attack on a base in Jordan. The Pentagon identified the soldiers on Monday as 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales.
The Department of Defense released the names of the two soldiers on Monday. Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, was killed in action on July 18, 2026, after an Iranian ballistic missile struck Muwaffaq Salti Air Base. Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, was killed in action on July 17 during the same attack.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that Trump will attend the dignified transfer on Tuesday evening at Dover Air Force Base. “The President and the entire White House are praying for their families,” Leavitt said.
U.S. Central Command has conducted nine consecutive nights of strikes on Iranian military targets. The strikes aim to reduce Iran’s ability to attack vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
This marks the fourth such dignified transfer attended by Trump during his second term.
