Two medical students died when their car overturned near Karanodai bridge in Tiruvallur on Friday. Two others were injured in the incident.
Four students from a medical college near Periyapalayam in Tiruvallur district were returning to their hostel in Ponneri after visiting a shop in Red Hills. The car lost control near Karanodai bridge and overturned. Amrit, 23, of Madurai, and Saran, 23, of Dharmapuri, died on the spot. Police sent their bodies to Government Stanley Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The other two students, Mukesh, 21, and Aban, 23, were rescued and taken to the medical college hospital in Manjankaranai for treatment. Police reported the details of the accident.
