Dalawang senador posibleng lumipat sa bloc ni Gatchalian

Maaaring mabuo ang mayorya sa Senado bukas na maglalagay kay Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian bilang pangulo ng Senado, ayon kay Sen. Erwin Tulfo.

Sinabi ni Tulfo na hindi bababa sa tatlong senador ang pinipilit lumipat mula sa pangkat ni Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano. Kasama sa mga posibleng sumuporta ay isang lalaki at isang babaeng senador, pati na rin si Sen. Joel Villanueva.

"Hopefully the prayer of everyone, not just us, is for this to end so we can go back to normal," ani Tulfo sa dzRH. Kasalukuyang may 11 senador na sumusuporta kay Gatchalian, kabilang sina Tulfo, Vicente Sotto III at Risa Hontiveros.

Si Gatchalian ay nagsisilbing acting Senate president matapos mahalal bilang Senate President Pro Tempore noong Hunyo 3. Nangangailangan ng 13 boto para sa permanenteng posisyon. Tinawag ng Malacañang ang espesyal na sesyon sa Hunyo 17.
