Uppsala Municipality names new cultural scholarship recipients

Uppsala Municipality's cultural committee named recipients of three cultural awards on 4 June 2026. The scholarships and prize will be presented later this autumn.

Björn Dahlman receives the Gösta Knutsson scholarship of 20 000 kronor. He is recognised for his long-term work with children's and youth theatre in Uppsala and internationally. Sofia Andersson is awarded the scholarship for a newly graduated visual artist. She is offered an exhibition at Uppsala Art Museum and studio access for one year. Vänge Hembygdsförening receives the cultural heritage prize of 20 000 kronor for preserving the historic row village Vänge-Ekeby. The awards will be presented at Uppsala Castle in November 2026.
