Ibinahagi niya ito sa kanyang video message. Inihayag din ng Malacañang ang March 20 bilang regular holiday.
Sa Manila, sumali si Bise Presidente Sara Duterte sa pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Fitr noong nakaraang araw, na nag-ooffer ng panalangin para sa kapayapaan sa mundo habang hinaharap ang krisis sa Middle East. Sa kanyang video message, sinabi niya, “I join the entire Muslim Ummah – especially our brothers and sisters across the Philippines and those living and working in the Middle East and all corners of the globe – in celebrating the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr.” Binigyang-diin niya ang pagtatapos ng buwan ng Ramadan, na tinukoy bilang paglalakbay ng panalangin, sakripisyo, at malalim na pagmumuni-muni. “As you mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we celebrate a journey defined by prayer, sacrifice and deep spiritual reflection. The discipline and devotion you have shown throughout your fast are testaments to the strength of your faith and your commitment to the values of compassion and charity,” dagdag niya. Ang Eid’l Fitr, na kilala bilang “festival of breaking the fast,” ay ipinagdiriwang ng mga Muslim sa loob ng tatlong araw pagkatapos ng buwan ng pag-aayuno. Binati rin niya ang mga Pilipino: “To my fellow Filipinos, your resilience and hard work continue to be a source of pride for our nation. May the spirit of Eid bring you comfort and remind you that your contributions to your families and our country are deeply valued.” Samantala, nagbigay-pakiusap ng seguridad ang Philippine National Police para sa mapayapang pagdiriwang. Ayon kay PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., nasa alert ang mga yunit ng pulisya sa buong bansa. “This meaningful occasion reflects faith, sacrifice and compassion – values that inspire unity and understanding among communities,” sabi ni Nartatez. — John Unson
