Digital Extremes is developing a direct follow-up to its 2024 Warframe quest Jade Shadows. The new story, titled Jade Shadows: Constellations, will continue the narrative centered on the Stalker character and his family.
The upcoming quest features two brothers, Orion and Sirius, in a timeline-blending battle. Players' previous choices from the original quest will shape their experience in this continuation.
Community director Megan Everett described the project as a first proper sequel for Warframe stories. She noted the team was nervous about the original quest's emotional tone but moved forward after positive reception.
Constellations aims to blend the heartfelt elements of fatherhood with more action sequences. Everett said the update adds violence absent from the predecessor while preserving its emotional focus.
The quest also allows exploration of lesser-used characters outside Warframe's main narrative arcs.
