Water leak halted tram lines in Gothenburg

A water leak caused disruptions on several tram lines in Gothenburg on Sunday morning. Traffic resumed shortly before 11 a.m.

According to the city of Gothenburg, the issue was a pipe break. On-call official Johan Hulten confirmed that no residents were without water during the incident. Tram lines 7 and 11 were halted between Gamlestads Torg or Centralstationen and Komettorget. Line 6 was affected between Ullevi Södra and Aprilgatan. Västtrafik deployed replacement buses. Traffic returned to normal earlier than the initial forecast of around 12 p.m.
