Williams has started a two-week review of its Formula 1 upgrade programme following concerns over its development pace. Team principal James Vowles confirmed the move after the British Grand Prix.
James Vowles said the team's rate of bringing performance to the car falls short of what is needed to move up the grid. The review will assess upgrades introduced at Silverstone and earlier in the season.
The evaluation is expected to finish within two weeks and will shape plans for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps from 17-19 July as well as the rest of the year. Vowles noted the process involves learning from both successes and setbacks.
Williams sits eighth in the constructors' championship with 11 points after nine rounds. Vowles highlighted the team's culture of openness and quick turnaround as a positive amid the challenges.
