A woman in her 60s was detained on Saturday after being arrested on Friday evening in Gottsunda/Valsätra, Uppsala, on suspicion of injuring another woman with a sharp object following a quarrel.
Police were called to an apartment in Gottsunda at 9 p.m. on Friday after one woman reported injuring her friend during an escalating quarrel. Both women, who are in their sixties, were found at the scene. The injured woman was taken by ambulance to hospital while the other was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The apartment was cordoned off for technical examination. On Saturday a prosecutor decided to detain the suspected woman.
