She initially resists seeing a doctor but later seeks treatment while Victor is away in Washington, D.C. The diagnosis requires quick decisions and may lead to risky behavior. Matt Clark tells Victor Newman he is ready for a test of his sincerity involving Cane. Victor plans to monitor Matt closely to determine if he can be trusted or if he must be dealt with harshly. The Shadow Room opens in Genoa City with Noah Newman hosting an event attended by family members including Nick and Sharon. Malcolm Winters makes his return at the Overlook Cafe surprising Holden, Claire and Stephanie. Victor Newman, Jack Abbott, Kyle Abbott, Diane Jenkins, Devon Hamilton and Abby Newman Abbott appear in a Beyond the Gates political fundraiser storyline. Diane reconciles with Jack early in the week before the crossover begins.
