Le biministre de l'Intérieur et du Secrétariat général du gouvernement (SEGEGOB), Claudio Alvarado, a déclaré que l'utilisation de l'image présidentielle dans les tracts du PS pour dénigrer le chef de l'État s'éloigne des règles élémentaires de respect. Alvarado a affirmé que la trajectoire du Parti socialiste ne mérite pas d'être ternie par des publications de propagande légère et des caricatures. Il a ajouté que le Chili attend des contributions du PS et non des dénigrements. Le chef du groupe des députés du PS, Raúl Leiva, a déclaré qu'il ne partageait pas le tract qui ridiculise la figure du président. Le député Nelson Venegas a indiqué que ce type de politique ne correspond pas à son style.
