Aqua annonce sa séparation après plus de 30 ans d'existence

Les icônes de l'Europop, Aqua, ont décidé de tirer leur révérence après trois décennies, annonçant la nouvelle sur Instagram juste avant le grand anniversaire de leur premier album.

Le groupe dano-norvégien, célèbre pour Barbie Girl et d'autres tubes de la fin des années 90 comme Doctor Jones, a confirmé cette séparation à l'amiable dans un communiqué émouvant publié lundi. Ils ont écrit avoir décidé de « clore le chapitre d'AQUA en tant que groupe de scène » tout en conservant des souvenirs et une affection mutuelle intacts, après avoir vendu plus de 33 millions de disques dans le monde depuis leur formation en 1995. Les membres actuels René Dif, Søren Rasted et Lene Nystrøm ont précisé que cette décision intervient après le départ de Claus Norreen en 2016 pour d'autres projets.
