Björklöven clinched their spot in the HockeyAllsvenskan final with a dominant 4–1 victory over Södertälje in the decisive fifth game. After a tight first two periods marred by penalties, Björklöven pulled ahead in the third with three power-play goals.
Södertälje received two match penalties: Leevi Teissala for a slewfoot on Joel Mustonen, and Andrew Vanderbeck for a hit/head tackle on Björklöven captain Axel Ottosson. Fredrik Forsberg opened the scoring on the power play, followed by Daniel Brodin's 2–0 and Axel Ottosson's 3–0 during Vanderbeck's penalty. A Björklöven power-play goal was disallowed after Ottosson tangled with Södertälje goaltender Love Härenstam's stick, as confirmed by officials.
Ottosson, who scored one of the sealing goals, told TV4: 'I love this – playoffs and full arenas.' Södertälje's season ends after a resilient effort despite injuries and penalties.
This marks Björklöven's first SHL promotion chance since the 2000–01 season, after qualifier final losses in 2021 to Timrå and 2022 to HV71.
