Brianna Lei, créatrice du visual novel Butterfly Soup sorti en 2017, a dévoilé son prochain projet. The Crane Rider’s Tale est un jeu d'aventure et d'enquête policière inspiré des contes folkloriques chinois.

Le jeu place les joueurs dans la peau de Mourn-No-More, qui voyage sur une grue géante nommée Snowfall. Après la mort mystérieuse d'une amie nommée Peach Blossom, le protagoniste résout l'affaire en transportant les villageois et en rassemblant des indices grâce à des choix limités dans le temps.
