Le film Clarissa, réalisé par Arie et Chuko Esiri, a reçu une longue standing ovation après sa projection dans la section Quinzaine des cinéastes du Festival de Cannes. Le long-métrage, une adaptation libre de Mrs. Dalloway de Virginia Woolf, a été présenté pour la première fois le 16 mai à Cannes.

Tourné en 35 mm au Nigeria, le film suit une femme de la haute société nommée Clarissa alors qu'elle s'apprête à organiser une réception à Lagos. Durant l'événement, elle renoue avec des amis de jeunesse, ce qui l'amène à réfléchir sur ses relations passées et ses rêves inassouvis. Sophie Okonedo et India Amarteifio incarnent Clarissa à différents âges, entourées de David Oyelowo, Toheeb Jimoh et Nikki Amuka-Bird.
