Dankrad Feist, ancien chercheur de la Fondation Ethereum, a appelé à la création d'une nouvelle organisation dirigée par la communauté et dotée d'une trésorerie d'un milliard de dollars, afin de mieux aligner les incitations sur la croissance d'Ethereum.

Jeudi, Feist a présenté sa proposition sur X, arguant que la Fondation Ethereum manque d'un levier économique suffisant car elle contrôle moins de 0,1 % de la totalité des ETH et ne perçoit aucun revenu direct provenant du staking ou des frais. Il a suggéré que la nouvelle entité soit dotée d'un financement permanent grâce aux revenus du staking, d'un conseil d'administration motivé par l'appréciation de l'ETH, et d'une direction axée sur la compétitivité plutôt que sur la seule idéologie. Feist a déclaré : « Le moyen de sauver Ethereum est que la communauté crée une organisation économiquement alignée sur Ethereum et responsable devant lui. »
