Un ancien détective inculpé après avoir braqué une arme sur un collègue à cause d'une odeur de poisson

Un ancien détective de la police de Caroline du Sud a été arrêté et licencié après avoir prétendument pointé son arme de service sur un autre officier lors d'une altercation au sujet d'odeurs de nourriture dans le micro-ondes du bureau.

Michael DeBiase, 46 ans, a été inculpé mardi pour avoir braqué et présenté une arme à feu. L'incident a eu lieu le 30 mai au siège du département de police de Myrtle Beach. Selon un mandat d'arrêt, DeBiase a interpellé un officier de patrouille à propos du réchauffage de poisson au micro-ondes. Il a ensuite sorti et pointé son arme de service sur l'officier. Le département de police de Myrtle Beach a immédiatement placé DeBiase en congé administratif après l'événement. Il a par la suite été licencié pour avoir enfreint la politique du département. DeBiase a été écroué au centre de détention J. Reuben Long, puis libéré sous caution de 5 000 dollars. Les procureurs du bureau du solliciteur du 15e circuit devraient se charger de l'affaire.
