La Fed reprend l'assouplissement quantitatif sur fond de hausse des émissions de dette

La Réserve fédérale a relancé son programme d'assouplissement quantitatif après la fin du resserrement monétaire, ajoutant des dizaines de milliards de dollars à son bilan au cours des derniers mois.

La banque centrale a injecté 43 milliards de dollars en mars et avril, puis 4 milliards de dollars supplémentaires en mai. Ce changement intervient alors que le Trésor a émis près de 4 000 milliards de dollars de nouvelle dette au cours des 18 derniers mois, les acheteurs internationaux n'ayant absorbé qu'environ 10 % de ce total.
