Réunion à Matignon sur l'arrivée du MV Hondius touché par l'hantavirus

Les autorités françaises tiendront dimanche une réunion à Matignon pour faire un point sur l'hantavirus alors que le navire MV Hondius doit accoster aux Canaries. Les cinq passagers français seront rapatriés et suivis pendant six semaines.

Le navire de croisière MV Hondius, où huit cas dont trois décès ont été signalés, doit arriver dimanche entre 3 et 5 heures GMT aux îles Canaries. Les passagers, considérés comme contacts à haut risque par l'OMS, commenceront à débarquer vers 8 heures locales avant d'être rapatriés par avion.

Sébastien Lecornu réunira dimanche après-midi à Matignon la ministre de la Santé Stéphanie Rist, le ministre de l'Intérieur Laurent Nuñez et d'autres responsables pour faire « un point de situation ». Les cinq Français à bord seront testés à l'Institut Pasteur puis confinés à domicile pendant six semaines.

Le directeur général de l'OMS Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus supervise l'opération à Tenerife, où le risque pour la population locale est jugé faible. Les Britanniques seront placés en isolement dans un hôpital près de Liverpool.
