Des créateurs autochtones célèbrent la mode native lors du gala de Santa Fe

Des créateurs autochtones se sont réunis à Santa Fe le week-end dernier pour présenter de nouvelles œuvres fusionnant artisanat traditionnel et styles contemporains lors du gala et défilé de la SWAIA Native Fashion Week 2026.

Samedi soir dernier, les invités vêtus de créations autochtones et de bijoux en turquoise sont arrivés à l'historique Eldorado Hotel pour cet événement, qui mettait à l'honneur cinq créateurs contemporains : Jamie Okuma, Pamela Baker, Patricia Michaels, Jontay Kahm et Lauren Good Day. Chacun a créé cinq silhouettes interprétant l'artisanat et la haute couture, incluant la robe drapée à carreaux et les pièces en cuir d'Okuma, les robes sculpturales en organza rappelant des plumes de Kahm, ainsi que les jupes à rubans colorées, mocassins perlés et porte-bébés traditionnels de Good Day.
