Le gouvernement provincial de Jakarta a signé un protocole d'accord avec Goldfinch International Ltd afin de renforcer l'industrie cinématographique de la capitale. La signature a eu lieu à Cannes, en France, le 14 mai.

Le gouvernement provincial de Jakarta a exploré une coopération en matière d'investissement cinématographique avec Goldfinch International Ltd. Le protocole d'accord entre PT Jakarta Experience Board et Goldfinch a été signé au Pavillon de Jakarta lors du Marché du Film à Cannes, en France.

Le vice-gouverneur de Jakarta, Rano Karno, s'est dit convaincu que cette coopération ouvrira de nouvelles opportunités pour le développement de l'industrie cinématographique et aura un impact économique significatif pour la ville. Le champ d'application comprend l'échange d'informations, le développement des talents, la construction d'infrastructures et des études politiques sur les incitations cinématographiques.

Le directeur des opérations de Goldfinch, Phill McKenzie, a déclaré que Jakarta possède un fort potentiel pour devenir un centre cinématographique en Asie du Sud-Est et en Asie. La société basée à Londres a investi dans plus de 300 titres de films avec plus de 300 millions de dollars américains de capital et possède une expérience au Qatar et en Thaïlande.
