Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta menandatangani nota kesepahaman dengan Goldfinch International Ltd untuk memperkuat industri film ibu kota. Penandatanganan berlangsung di Cannes, Prancis, pada 14 Mei lalu.

Pemprov DKI Jakarta menjajaki kerja sama investasi perfilman dengan Goldfinch International Ltd. Penandatanganan nota kesepahaman antara PT Jakarta Experience Board dan Goldfinch dilakukan di Jakarta Pavilion, Marché du Film, Cannes, Prancis.

Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta Rano Karno menyatakan keyakinan bahwa kerja sama ini akan membuka peluang baru bagi pengembangan industri film serta memberi dampak ekonomi signifikan bagi Jakarta. Kerja sama mencakup pertukaran informasi, pengembangan talenta, pembangunan infrastruktur, dan kajian insentif industri film.

Chief Operating Officer Goldfinch, Phill McKenzie, menyebut Jakarta memiliki potensi besar menjadi pusat film di Asia Tenggara dan Asia. Perusahaan berbasis London ini telah berinvestasi di lebih dari 300 judul film dengan modal lebih dari 300 juta dolar AS dan berpengalaman di Qatar serta Thailand.
