Une femme du Kentucky admet avoir tiré sur son mari lors d'une dispute

Mme Edens aurait voulu que son mari parte et aurait brandi une arme avant de lui tirer dessus, ont indiqué les autorités. Le bureau du shérif du comté de Cumberland est intervenu après avoir reçu des signalements concernant une fusillade et un accident de voiture impliquant un seul véhicule, sollicitant l'assistance de la KSP. Les agents ont retrouvé James Edens blessé par balle à la jambe à l'intérieur du véhicule, où il perdait beaucoup de sang, comme l'a rapporté la chaîne WDKY, affiliée à Fox à Lexington. Il a été transporté dans un hôpital local où son décès a été prononcé. Les enquêteurs ont interrogé Heather Edens, qui a admis avoir tiré sur son mari durant la dispute. Elle a prétendu que la balle « avait dû ricocher sur le béton », selon les allégations de la police. Mme Edens a été écrouée à la prison régionale du comté d'Adair mercredi et est détenue sous une caution d'un million de dollars. Elle doit comparaître devant le tribunal le 22 avril.
