Konstantin Komarek returns to Vienna Capitals after 13 Swedish seasons

Veteran center Konstantin Komarek is heading back to Austria to play for Vienna Capitals next season. The move ends his 13-year stint in Swedish hockey, including three seasons with Västerås.

Konstantin Komarek and Västerås have parted ways after three seasons together. He joined the club ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and served as captain during the past two seasons. In the most recent campaign, Komarek recorded 32 points in 43 regular-season games and added eight points during the qualification series against Troja-Ljungby, helping secure Västerås continued place in Hockeyallsvenskan.
